2014 Films announced, the venue is getting prepared, filmmakers are making travel plans

The month of October goes by fast here at the ASLAFF office. We have a few birthdays to celebrate, residual back to school functions to attend, Halloween to prepare for. Oh, and the festival taking place the first week in November may put some pressure on us this month. Just a little!

For anyone that has ever volunteered or managed a film festival, you know the kind of frenetic pace you get in during the last few weeks before the festival premier night. So many details have to be ironed out, last minute problems and opportunities are constantly popping up, and every year is slightly different.

You’d think after doing this a few years it would all be routine, but, luckily it’s not. We love it, and we hope you will as well. If you’re a sports film fanatic, then I know you need to attend this year because we have the most amazing program of quality sports films to show.
