In the same way the independent filmmakers have to raise funds to complete their films, our festival funds itself through ticket sales, submission fees and sponsorship. In the “Great Recession” we have found ourselves in the past few years, disposable income is pretty hard to come by, especially for businesses trying to plan for an uncertain future.

We feel very passionately that films that provide a positive alternative to some of the depressingly violent and often immoral messages in today’s media is essential for our sons and daughters. All too often, our tabloid world sensationalizes the trivial and reinforces the worst of human behavior.

Remember how you felt when you finished watching Hoosiers? Rudy? Brian’s Song? Friday Night Lights? This is the spirit we bring to the screen once a year, and we need your help to continue operating this unique all sports, positive and high quality film festival.
