We are proud to be entering our fourth year of this festival. It always amazes us how many entries we get from around the world. Last year, we had people coming in from across the country and as far away as the Netherlands.
And, the second thing we are always amazed by is the quality of the films. This is not a quirky art college festival. Our program features engaging, well produced independent films with great picture and sound quality, acting and direction you’d expect from a big budget studio project.
Finally, the reason we chose to create a film festival showcasing nothing but sports stories — the human drama and elation of competition and endurance. The human spirit is on display for three days on the screen and behind the screen.
Here are some highlights from the previous festivals, we hope you choose to be a part of our next festival as a filmmaker and/or a patron.
Featuring an amazing documentary about Pete Rose, we were fortunate to welcome several VIP’s including actors and Pete Rose himself. A great time was had by all.
Held at the Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, the first festival featured so many amazing films, it took additional nominating sessions with the festival judges to come to agreement on the best films and screenplays.
From the celebration gala to the festival itself and then the awards ceremony — take a look at the fun we had in our first outing.
